CB raids offices of three multi-level marketing firms(Times of India)

KOCHI: The economic offences wing (EoW) of the crime branch on Monday raided three multi-level marketing firms, which were allegedly running money-chain schemes in violation of the Prize Chits and Money Circulation Schemes (Banning) Act, 1978.

The crime branch had earlier cracked down on Amway, RMP and MonaVie.

A team of crime branch officials raided the offices and godowns of the firms, DXN on Old Railway Station

Road, Modicare at Kathrikadavu and K-Link at Palarivattom. The manager of K-Link, identified only as Sunil, was arrested. The raiding team also seized goods worth Rs 3 crore from the godowns of three companies, police said.
